In this week's workshop, we were taught how to make a walk cycle using simple shapes such as circles, triangles and quadrilaterals.
I think this was a great help since it broke the barrier between simpler animations to our main project. The simple shapes helped with the animation since I could draw them quickly and make them consistent in every frame. This also opened my mind to how I could simplify my own character by breaking her up into simpler shapes rather than going for for the overcomplicated version first.
I did have some problems with this walk cycle though because I noticed that the pen tool would make my lines look wiggly while others would be smooth. I realised that this also happened in the arcs exercise with the rope tied to a ball. If this continues, I will probably change programs.
If I had to change anything, I would improve the feet since they seem off due to changing size and height. I had this problem during the exercise task as well and I will try to keep an eye out for this in future iterations.
